What would Carmi shoot?

Bang bang or click click
I love the grey and blue
then the contrast of soft floating clouds
and a hard steel turbine, cutting through the endless sky.
Its still a marvel to me: Flying! Posted by Picasa

Mom is needing me more

I won't be posting very often.
A heavy fall work schedule and looking in on mom will preclude very much blogging.
So please read the old stuff, I think it may have been pretty good.
Tuesday we spent all day at the hospital's ER
all the tests say she is ok
I will see how she feels after a good nights rest
I am tired
Thanks to all my readers for your support

I can't get mine started!

"Welcome to the Dr. Stihl Show, how -"

Doc, ya gotta help! I can't get mine started! I done everythang I know

"- can I help... whoa son, slow that tractor down! If you will just tell me about
what it is that is bothering you, please."

Well, it like this. I left it in the shed too long, I guess and all the fluids dried up,
so Come spring, when I was getting all geared up fer another season, I drug it out and shore nuff it durnt run a tall.

"Seems like this could be a case of too little too late, but try this: Buy a brand new pair of overalls, take your wife out to the nicest BBQ place in town, the kind where you end up getting your hands all smothered in sauce and grease. After dinner, go see a movie, (or maybe the sprint car races, whatever is playing in your town) On the way home stop at the Piggly Wiggly and buy a bottle of Apple wine and some 3 in one oil. and let nature take its course.

Huh??!

The Dr. Stihl show

"Thank you for calling Dr. Stihl, you are on the air."

uh, Hi Dr. Stihl, I have this friend who has a problem

" could you have your friend come to the phone?"

he's kinda shy

"well, that can be a problem, Does he own a chainsaw?

Yup.

"Tell him to gas it up and go for an afternoon in the woods, he won't have time to think about his problems and he will have some firewood at the end of the day.

Thanks, Dr. Stihl, I knew you would have something to help my friend.
=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
"Next caller, Burt, you are on the air, How may I help you?"

Ah, Dr. Stihl, My wife left me with nothing but a pile of bills and a broken heart, I was hoping you could play a song that would bring her back home.

"Burt, you called the wrong show, we don't do dedications, here.
Have you looked in the tool shed, Burt? Did she take the chainsaw?"

well, funny you mention that Doc, there is that and my snowblower, I guess they would not fit in the moving van.

"Listen good, friend. There is no song so sweet as the screaming of a two cycle engine ripping through a couple hundred board feet of loblolly pine. You go cut up some good sized caber tossing logs and heave those around the yard til you forget all about her"

true tales

true tale of neighbors at war: Posted by PicasaThis is a true story. It happened in Utah and was on the news!
A city councilman, Mark Easton, lives in this neighborhood. He had a beautiful view of the east mountains, until a new
neighbor purchased the lot below his house and built.

Apparently, the new home was 18 inches higher than the ordinances would allow, so Mark Easton, mad about his lost
view, went to the city to make sure they enforced the lower roof line ordinance.
Mark and his new neighbor had some great arguments about this as you can imagine - not great feelings. The new neighbor had to drop the roof line - no doubt at great expense.
Recently, Mark Easton called the city and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side
of his home. Mark didn't like the look of these vents and asked the city to investigate.

When they went to Mark's home to see the vent view, this is what they found...
