not afraid

I am not afraid of my addictions
i am now comfortable in my own skin,
maybe too much so,
but I can tell you candidly that I am alright with
NEEDING something so bad I would run you down to get it.
Today that need is spelled C O F F E E

Time flies

i have not won the Lotto yet,
so I will keep working
this weeks working is like that of a mad man
I am now so sore that I can not imagine
doing more tomorrow
but I think after 8 hours sleep I will be ready for more

Mom is well, thanks you for praying for her.
Very busy day for her today
and for myself.... so much to do
yet so much is accomplished each day
I am amazed at myself.

mom reads her story

mom wrote much of her story, and that of her family and my sister Laurel put it into book form.
Here she sees the finished porduct for the first time

Mom continues to incline
( not decline ... not my mom!)
mom is inclined to be resting
and celebrating Jesus in heaven
having done all she can to love and build up her family
and having carefully thought about her life and care
she is surrounded by care and love and grace every day.

Mom is inclined to stop the struggle for energy and
the fight against the stiffness and pain of her long term arthritis
She is inclined to once again have her youthful voice and clear eyes.
Mom is inclined to take God up on His offer of a new body, and trade in her old model ( a 1919 model!)
I don't think it will happen today, I really have no clues
but I just know that is what she is longing for.

driveway edge will have LOTS of flowers
so will the walkways
and trailing vines on the split rail fence

Latter days

i don't know how to feel.
I have never been here before
so I just let it all in
and figure it will get sorted out later.

Time moves so slowly for the old and infirmed
how much more so for those whose cognitive abilities
are slipping. Sleep is a blessing, so she sleeps a lot

I do my best to not think to much
but to feel whatever
and know it is going to be 'all right'.

MOST of the four pallets of paving stones are in place(s)
My back is 'strong, like Ox' and my head is full of more ideas for improving the front of the property.....
MANY plants are being planted, transplanted and imagined.
Seeds in dozens of containers are springing up in the greenhouse and on the back deck.
Possible snow tonight and a low temp of 30 degrees F
