I'm generally not a fan of vacation destinations where you're stuck in a gated resort, and any trips outside the compound (love that word, as it's so telling) expose you to unnecessary risk.
I do not see the appeal of a place where you'd spend half your time enjoying your drink on the beach, and the other half crossing your fingers that you make it home in one piece.
Sure, every place has risks. But considering Mexico's burgeoning atmosphere of lawlessness, there are plenty of other places to consider. Wise advice, sir.
Tanya agrees, which likely explains why she's floating in the sea - where gunmen presumably do not go.
