late in the season the poppy blooms
it does not know or care
that it missed the early summer rush
it is not worried about the snow that will soon fall
it just is. the poppy is beautiful
that is its mission
what is your mission?

Wow, that's a heavy question. I'll have to think on it.
I hope you're enjoying the weekend, David!
is this a pix you took? if so, where because it looks like there is snow behind it!!!!
my mission? as a matter of fact, i have an assignment due on thursday for my class... it is a personal statement.. .nothing to be graded but just something that our prof said that we, as teachers, need to create and strive to attain. so... i'm working on it... but it is somewhere along the lines of serving others through teaching and learning etc etc... haven't started on it yet.
no snow, red, just a tweaked picture with Picasa. my mission: give til it hurts, then get out a bandage and give some more?
I like that shot!
Most of my poppies pooped out before my days off to enjoy them this year. Susans n Buttons have spiced the deck up more abundantly this season.
The Mission, should I choose to accept it, is to do my best to be kind n helpful to other living entities in my journey through mortality. To use my God-given talents to good purposes, n avoid getting sucked in with the evil-doers. Almost Mission Impossible!
beautiful poppy! My mission? Contribute beautiful photographs to society.
Hi, Michele sent me!
