a good day in the woods

I talked to this reporter guy today
he did not realize I was a total nut
so he put me in the clip of his news report
I am halfway famous, wooooo hoooo

Although Mark Coogan seemed very nice, his camera man was a bit naive.
He parked the van right in the road where a tree was being felled, moved the van and then stood in the spot until I yelled "TIMMBEEEERRRRRRRRRRR" and had to add "MOVE move" the tree splattered a few feet from where he was standing, good thing he was quick on his feet. hehe

In the video my son and I work together to get a big tree to fall.
Jared hammers in the wedges and I cut it through then it falls sideways from where I expected it to, but safe after all. I look a little wild with a camo hat and lots of sawdust all over me.

NO pics - my daugter has my camera at camp this week.
Link to the press Enterprise article on Scott and Vickie Wilson's battle to save their home and guest cottages from the fire. with a picture of Scott cutting some of the brush away.

I know who Mark is!!! I hear his news reports all the time. David, sweetie, I am starting to worry about you up there. The reports say that if a fire starts on the backside of the mountain there is no way they can get it out soon enough due to the overload of dead trees that they left their for an endagered owl species. I'm praying for your mountain!

David - I saw the video clip, glad you're optimistic. Must feel good to do something about it rather than just watch the smoke!

OH.MY.GOD!!

Honestly, I didn't even know. Isn't that sad!!! I watch the news here in Texas all the time, and never have seen more than a quick clip of what's happening there.

So now, what are you going to do with your 15 minutes..ok...seconds...of fame?

LOL! Very cool to be on TV, but you take care of yourself!!!

life is amazing ain't it? you all are being burnt up and we have cities here who are being flooded from too much rain.

why can't they just load up all the rain water and take it out there to you?

Can I have your autograph?

David: Thanks for dropping by my blog yesterday and leaving the update. I hope that they continue to get the fire under control, and that you're safe. I can't imagine too many things that must be more threatening than a fire...it can take everything. Take care.
