dinner out after a heavy week

It was a good day but tiring, with all the moving and setting up at the new place.
I am not done, not close yet, but the worst is over.
Sunday morning church service was really good, the message terrific.
I made French toast for Hannah and I for brunch, and then Gary and I worked putting some stuff away and went to the old place for another "load of crap".

By 5 I was done with the moving - I will resume tomorrow
So I went out to dinner ( an unusual event for me)
It was so nice, and my dinner companion was such a sweet heart.
We went to an Italian place that I like and had the early bird specials since we got there before 6pm. It's so weird when it is dark so early - and you feel tired way before "bedtime".
I had a huge salad from the salad bar and so did my guest, the minestone soup was thick and spicy and took the chill off. I had a perfect Lasagna and she had spaghetti and meatballs, but was so full from salad bar and soup that she took it home for lunch tomorrow. I had a glass of yummy burgundy, and we decide against dessert. The place was pretty quiet and that made it easy to talk, so we did just that. It's great to have a dinner guest who is interesting to listen to and who listens well to you. The check came and we did not fight for it, she knew it was my treat. I drove her home and kissed her goodnight. I was truly happy.
I think my mom had a good time too!
