Last words

it has been too long
( how many bloggers start with that line?)
it has been almost two months since my mom passed into the presence of Jesus.
three weeks ago we had the most wonderful memorial service for her where we were joined by many of her friends from church. Since then I have experienced a sense of the freedom of not being her care giver, of not being the scheduler, the cook and the medicine man.
I did what I did well, and fell great about caring for my mom. I pray that if some day I need that sort of care, it will be provided. My family is amazing and I thank God for every one of them.
The peace we have now is substantial, and lasting, knowing that mom is in the best hands, in the hands of her creator, and savior.

Aha, you are still posting!

I remember after My Mother had gone to the Light, My world seemed like a totally different place. Like learning to ride a bike, but the training wheels are no longer there, n no one is going to catch you, or giving you sure direction anymore. A big relief in a way, more difficult in others.

May your journey be blessed, n your path well lit.

David- I am sorry I didn't get back to you right away - I just now figured out that you left a comment on my blog- www.fishingsouthwestflorida.com
I'm a fisherman- not so much a blogger!
I don't fish in Key Largo- but I have a couple of people who do- if you still need information I'll be glad to get you a phone number or two.
If you aren't just dead set on Key Largo- I recommend fishing here in Boca Grande- we are about 1 1/2 hours south of Tampa on the gulf coast!
Let me know if you need some info-
