This comfy rooftop chair was a thrift store find that had too much sun and sea moisture over the years. Sanding took down the roughness and removed the dirt. The teak oil absorbs ( can you hear that sucking sound?) way into the wood and gives it protection against water and some UV rays for the coming season.
I am sanding and scrubbing myself and applyng much oil, hoping to get the same results. So far I am grey on top, but increasingly brown below.
Summer time, and the livin' is greasy.

That chair is a lot of work, but so satusfying, isn't it?

I always wanted to know how to restore furniture and sew, both of which I'm terrible at. That's a great chair and makes me want to sit down on my porch and sip tea right about now.
