I used to be addicted to Marijuana - yes it is habit forming AND a gateway drug
and then I was hooked on Mickey's Malt liquor.
For a while I would say that I was dependent on the "high" that charismatic worship gave me.
I have always been attracted like a moth to a flame to girls, and figure I never will beat that addiction.
But my new fix, like I got to have soome RIGHT NOW is books. Yar!
so I am going over to Bookins.com to check and see what is in the mail for me this week.
You should go too. I will bet that you have books you want to trade and that I or someone like I would enjoy getting them into our ink stained hands. So go, look at a book - you'll be hooked.

Hello, Michele sent me.
I'll have to look into the Bookins.com site tomorrow as it is much too late for that now. I'm also going to have to read up on your gang wars so I know who to shiv in a prison fight.
I've always been a big reader - I can get lost in a book for hours and hours! (and stay up half the night to finish a good one :-)
:-) love the rhyme at the end
Hi!
Im here from Micheles :D
I hope you had a great weekend.
Im going to check out the link now :)
oh by the way,
I still love to worship God and consider myself charismatic ( gifts)
but I am finding myself really happy at a conservative, church with liturgy and hymns. weird, huh?
Ooohhhh - sounds fabulous! I'm addicted to that drug too... have been since before I started school :) Another one is caffeine... didn't start as early with that one, but have since made up for lost time, hehe. Will go check out Bookins now.
Michele says hi.
What a great idea! Have fun reading David.
hello.. here via michele..
i haven't read in forever. so many things going on.. but i'm glad you found an addiction that won't harm you.
I'll get there at some point, tho most of my books are "collection" stuff I won't part with. Wish I had more read time. Someday when I get a week off again-
Gotta love a paperback at the beach...
Good promo!
oooh i love books too! i have waaaaaay too many! i wonder if there's something like "bookins" in south africa...
Now books sounds like a healthy addiction :) I've been a big reader since I first learnt to read and find it hard to part with books once I have them.
Thanks for the blog visit!
I think everyone fights addictions. They're just an attempt to fill a hole somewhere...sometimes it's nearly impossible to do!! I'm glad you've given up harmful addictions for your books...they will feed you instead of tearing you down!! :)
