This is my place for writing and reflecting on life here in the mountains. Close to the sky, close to my children and family and most certainly feeling the closeness of God my Savior.

Well, hello there. I read your comment on my blog. I don't know how you came to my blog, but welcome! And I'm not "insufferably young". I like to THINK I am sometimes, though!
May I just say, even though I don't know you well, (well, at all really), what kind of idiot (and I say that with all the love I have in my heart)drives in the snow and videotaping at the same time? Holy cow! I watched that video and it felt like I was in the car with you! Had I been, I would have ripped it right out of your hands. Then of course, I would have rolled down the window and stuck the video camera outside to tape. While freezing to death. And probably cracking the lens.
Big Bear is THE place we love to vacation. We're trying to go Labor Day weekend (we've gone the past two years) but the place we always stay is booked. So much for customer loyalty, hmmm?? Okay. I think I've written enough for now. I'm worried what you're next post is going to be!
more of this silliness on my photobucket page / albums.
Good lord man, I thought I was crazy trying to snap pictures of sunrises over the blue ridge mountains as I drive to work in the mornings! You top me by a lonshot (all the pictures I've taken are too blury to post too. I'm going to have to stop & take some or get up early on a day off)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I'm glad there's no "punch" line to that video. You drive pretty good, but I have to say I was tense seeing all those skid marks that came before you. Michele sent me.
Hi, David,
I hope you had the video camera fastened to your dash and not strapped in your hand!!!! Oh I noticed you driving on the wrong side of the road :) just some Aussie humour..
I saw the rest of your video on Photbucket. You're not well, David. You know that, right?
I used to spend some long winters in New Hampshire, but that still made me nervous just watching it!
