God bless the child
God,
Thank you for my children.
That they are strong and healthy
That they have a good sense of humor
That they are ( mostly) polite and well mannered.
Thank you that they love their siblings, their parents and their aunts and uncles enough to spend Thanksgiving day together.
Thank you that they understand how important Grandma is to all of us, and that she comes first.
Thank you that the boys are not afraid to turn big pieces of wood into small ones by brute strength, so that two houses can have affordable heat. Thank you that Hannah ate a piece of ham and found it did not cause her to Oink.
Thank you that its a better season with all of us together and cheering one another up and cheering one another on.
Go team!

A lovely post!
Beautiful reminder of what really matters most.
followed you over from Michele's tonight. She says hi. Glad she reminded me to stop by.
You've hit the nail on the head in terms of what matters most in this life. This entry should be required reading for all parents. So eloquently said.
Thanks!
My 23 year old sometimes acts like a bite of ham will make him oink... very funny :)
Here via michele's tonight!
beautiful! you are truly blessed.
I was so freaking sore after splitting all that wood, then i had to drive home with a back that was tighter than Airport security if you tried to get a nail file through.
dear anonymous,
your multiple attempts to post on this blog make you seem 'robotic'
I will never publish your stupid plea for money for your child, because it comes with a link to your Porno web site.
I am not stupid, nor are my glorious readers. SO buzz off!
