Old trailer and wheel

This wheel is older than I am.
The trailer I use and abuse for hauling wood
was built on an OLD Ford axle, or so i was told.

It worked hard today. so did I
the pile in the yard grows,
I am glad even though I ache a bit.
if a hub cap specialist knows the actual year or make, please let me know in the comments.

update: i am looking at old tires on google images and trying to pin this down, here is a picture of the whole trailer with 800 lbs of wood in it Posted by Picasa

I ache a bit too, David. I just got home from the clean-up after a gala that we provided decor and flowers for. I am too old for this 2:00 am stuff!! Michele sent me.

Sorry, I'm not expert on wheels - or anything for that matter. Can't help you out on this.

I'm not an expert on wheels or anything. I love the pictures you have, esp the one in the post before this of all the trees and everything. Very nice. Here from Michele's.

David - Man that's one old ass truck! I remember when I was growing up there was this old guy down the street from us who had a truck that looked similiar. Can't say I ever saw the truck run though.

Peace,

- Neo

Don't know nothing about wheels or old trailers, but I know this: you've got some lucky kids... enjoyed reading your profile statement: "I love my children and consider being a dad my most important assignment." If more dads saw parenting as their most important role in life, this world would sure be a better place! Thanks for stopping by my site, too.

this will be the first full winter we don't have wood heat ... after moving from our cottage in February ... it is hard work, but at the end of the day when you see the fire all aglow - well worth it!

love your pics ... blessings to you!

Cool old trailer. There's a guy here in Reno called Mr. Hubcap. I bet he'd know, my gosh that man has every hub cap ever invented I think.

I was going to show your pictures to my father in law. He's good at this sort of stuff.....but it looks like you've gotten some good answers already. =o)

I love your writing style. It makes me feel cozy....is that wierd? Gosh, I hope not!
