Dear readers;
Shall I edit my old posts so new readers do not have to plow through weeks of crap to get anything worth reading?
I want to limit my "depression days" entries, not to make myself look happier but to avoid pulling anyone else deeper into a hole, or making them leave and never come back. you know how hard it is to get and keep readers. FYI I am aware that I wrote some dumb stuff.
I am making THE BEST CHILI while I type this - then I am watching football at my mom's.
So, please, you advise and I will read all your comments and then do whatever the heck i please.
I was sick - now I am better - Do I really have to leave all the sick stuff there forever or can I change it to 'draft' mode without losing my journalistic integrity?
Your comments start below, and yes if this works out I will be available to edit YOUR blog so that you can appear sane, happy, more brainy- whatever you want.... Laughing!
happy New YOU!

Hi Michele sent me. I've noticed that at Lam(b) most of the people who go through my archives are people that know me already. I think most new readers just check out the first page of the blog, if they are interested in something, they read more in the catagories. So in otherwords, I wouldn't stress about it too much. But it is your blog, do whatever you want.
Depression is over? I pray that is true.
Happy new year from the flag bearer for the friendly marching band.
Hey!
I re-did my blog to match the renewed me. I've made alot of choices that turned out to be bad but I don't want to reflect on it anymore, so I took it all out of my blog. Like someone told me, "Look forward, not back." You could edit all of your entries into drafts, so that you'll still have them. However, I enjoy reading everyone's archives.
HAPPY NEW YOU!
David, I would leave it. I would not edit a thing because it's a chronicle of your life and what you've been through. I agree with Lisa, most people will not even see your older stuff, they will start with the top and read maybe a few down.
I know what you mean about not wanting to bring another person down, I struggle with that too when I write about my depression. Funny thing though - I've found that it encourages people to know they are not alone AND in your case, my dear friend, David....you are usually funny, creative and silly. So even when you are down...it doesn't take long for your posts to return to up.
I wish you, your three awesome kids and the rest of your friends and fam a new year full of PEACE and JOY.
Leave it. Just don't go back to read it, yourself. It's kind of like taking that old sketch pad from high school and trying to embellish the still lifes.
I don't think you should edit out anything you don't want people to see. New readers want a backstory, and those that take the time to go through your archives are usually readers that want more and will come back.
Michele sent me.
I say leave it, it is the timeline and story of your life, sure a part you might not willingly want to revisit but it is "honest"
Michele sent me today.
I think you should continue on - leave the old and create new - so that you can cherish the journey and we can follow along. Best of luck, whatever you do.

David, everything we go through has a part in making us who we are today. I agree with most-leave it! It is quite a blessing to go back and remember how far you have come, for you and others to see! It is archived proof you are growing. Sometimes we forget where we were and it affects our ability to see how far we have actually traveled.
Do whatever, but ya can't please all the readers all the time, so ya gotta please yourself...
I would say leave it otherwise the world will get only a distortion of who you really are. And the world gets enough distortions of reality already.
