pain

I am having a delayed reaction to a loss about two weeks ago, combined with the every day losses of watching my mom decline and get ready to die. Some times are very sweet. Other times I function only out of duty. Many hours of the day are spent waiting for something we don't really want. Much of this work is trying NOT to think too much, and just GO with what needs to be done at the moment.

breath, sounds trite but no I really mean it
sit in a quiet place and breath intentionally slowing and flow into each breadth where it is all that there is around you. Even a moment of this will be found very empowering.
Your in my thoughts and prayers David. Know this will soon be a yesterday healed. Eat lots of protein, b12 is also very helpful to deal with the stress.

I'm sorry. I know that isn't much, and that losses are not easy.

I guess that the way you are doing it, one day at a time, one moment at a time, is the very best, even when it is painful.

Hope that in time you will be able to look back at this and be comforted with memories and knowing that you have so greatly honored your mama. I'm sure she's proud of you.

I send you all good wishes and prayers, David. These are hard times, I know. May you come through them with the knowledge that you have been a wonderful son to your mother and you know she appreciates it.

Thanks for your good widhes on my Anniversary. It was nice to see your comment!

I understand the nature of this waiting, as I've done it before. We had some false alarms, n the wait got much longer n tougher than had been expected-
So hang in there doing your best- I'm praying for you n your Mom, n hope this journey is not only life-changing, but soul enriching as well!

My Mom passed onward ten years ago at the end of this month, btw.
We were playing an audio cassette of her brother, a monk, reading psalms- n yes, right during "Yea, tho I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death," she left!

So I'd recommend reading some for her, when you're in doubt of how to get thru that waiting chore.
