Pondering this early today as I watched the blessed arrival of winter in my yard,
I wondered why, or why not ? While it may be possible to make up words for white fluffy stuff that is really a pain, it also occurs to me that we make have misunderstood some of these translations

I made ( with help) two apple pies from this recipe and Butternut squash soup from a recipe by the lovely Giada ( food network) and of course I will bring apple sauce with me as well
The travel plans are 2 1/2 hours each way - but worth it for the rejoining of family.
