what do you do when you...

What do you do when you can't write something for your blog:

I expect that YOU will have other solutions, but here are a few of mine:
1. Copy and paste from Joke of the Day
2. Link to a blogfriend who is still writing good stuff
3. Take a day off, and read a book ( you know, those paper things?)
4. Find a video or music from yoo toob to post
5. Go into the archives and bring forward a poem or story for the past
6. Join in with photo hunters or camera critters
7. post a list of things ( oops, I gave myself away!)

8) Go to Google Trends (http://www.google.com/trends) and post your thoughts on a Hot Topic.

I usually just don't post - sometimes I'll pull out something from my archives - but I only have a few posts that I feel are still relevant enough to re-publish.

Most often, I'll resist until I can no more and then I just write - anything, just so long as I'm writing. It always works.

Good question, David! I tend to look for a funny picture on the streets of NY when I can't think of anything. Or I just don't blog! (Bad me!) Tanya sent me today. Come by and visit if you get a chance. Have a great weekend!

I think I've regularly done no's 2, 3, 4 and no 7 of those :-)

Although no 2 is usually me grabbing an idea for a meme from someone else's blog ... I enjoy doing the music posts - I think I get more fun out of hunting down YooToob videos there than visitors do when reading those posts :-)

LOL. I guess I always, always have something to say. After 11.5 years, people just can't shut me up :)

Thanks so much for playing the MEET n' GREET! Always great to have you there!

I can spend hours letting empty thoughts race around my head before coming up with something good to write about.

I do some of those but on the whole I hope for inspiration!

I just write whatever comes to mind- n don't usually borrow from other stuff. The kids like to know I'm still alive-
I now like having a pic to spark an idea of how to relate the subject of it to my current life or events.
The shell thing I wrote on the fly just looking at that pic in about a minute. Apparently, I'm good at improve, n have even had to give some speeches off the cuff too-

I don't worry too much about what other people will think- just do it!
