Mountain roads, take me home.

Had a good drive home last night after a nice dinner and a
short birthday visit. Driving home the moon was eclipsed at first and then full.
NOTHING is like driving at night with the headlights off.
Being lit by the bright moon, the forest and road were all so clear.
the ice was not very thick on the road and there was little traffic.
Keeping the speed down and steady, second and third gears,
with the All Wheel Drive locked, I felt more than safe.

I like parts of winter.
Just wish I did not have to go out and work in it.

How bout those people in Georgia, trying to steal a piece of Tennessee, and their water?

Hello, Michele sent me to say that the ride home sounded lovely! I'm with you this year - I like parts of winter...they can get rid of the Ice part...

It sounds like you had a great drive home. I can just imagine the crisp cold air and the bluey light from the moon.

Michele sent me over and I'm glad she did as a visit here is long overdue!
