tourists EVERY where

in front of me, behind me
in the stores, at the bank
"flat-landers" abounding.
Their cars and smelly bodies
clogging up my quiet mountain town
Give me strength oh Lord
and keep me off the roads.

Yep, it gets mighty crowded up there this time of year so this flatlander will stay down here till the tourists go home. I like to go hiking in the snow but not sure if I'll make it this year or not.

that's one good thing about the rust belt... tourists are a rarity - except in nia. falls: bigget tourist trap in the northeast.

Michele sent me over to your mountain, David.

Happy New Year from me also.

I don't have a fireplace in my house anymore. I hadn't used the ones I had in other places much so I don't really miss having the fires for the most part--but there's no denying that a fire can be very peaceful.

Hi David -

Michele didn't send me, but I thought I'd pop over and see how you were doing. I could have guessed as much. It's like that up in Tahoe too. The difference now? Today, I'm the flat-lander. But I come with a locals compassion, for I was among the weekday lucky and the weekend cursed for a time.

Hang in there, this too shall pass!

It is because you have already snow where you are at? I hope that you can stay calm. I know how it is to have 'tourists' around. We have a lot of snow-birds in AZ from November - April...

Thank you for stopping by today.

Are they coming to ski, David? I guess this time of year with people on Holiday...too bad your sleepy little town is so inundated!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!

Michele sent me today!

Here from Micheles.
I understand, that's also how I feel here in SW Virginia all Spring, Summer & Fall. Heck, I was out for an hour & a half TODAY & saw more out of state plates than VA plates!
Happy New Year.
