pardon the clutter
I was busy on Sunday,
making applesauce that my son RAVED about and then Apple butter
both safely canned for Christmas gift giving.
Then 16 bean soup that my X wife complimented me on ( i kid you not )
it was a good day
If we get more snow this weekend I may spend another Sunday in the Kitchen. Its a place of warmth and creativity for me.
Now you all know what your presents will be, sorry if I spoiled it.... I love you so.

Here from Michele.
I bet that is great applesauce. My grandmother used to take these tart Granny Smith apples and make fried apples, leaving the peelings on. They were tart but good.
Now, I am off to the Potica Bread assembly line again. Baked five last weekend and now it looks like another three at least this weekend.
I see you were reading "Sense and Sensibility" while cooking. Its so nice to know a guy that is so very in touch with his feminine side.
Apple sauce, apple butter, and a a snowy day. Sounds great!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
me? read? nah!
I got some more apples - so I think tmo is round TWO of the great apple cook off!
That's so awesome David! Looks delicious!
Hey thanks for stopping by ( from Michele's) - your apple pictures are amazing. I've bookmarked your blog to check out further in the morning when I'm awake.
I've always loved applesauce. So does my wife, and our kids, too! It's even better if it's homemade.
I'm not sure if this is serendipity, but I was hanging around a service station parking lot today (I know, crazy) when I spied a lovely green apple sitting forlornly in the middle of a parking space.
I wasn't tempted to eat it, of course. But the juxtaposition of gorgeous shiny apple and depressing asphalt got my brain churning. I had the camera - bien sur - and grabbed a quick picture of the inongruous scene.
Yup, you definitely pre-influenced me, David!
ooh- make my mouth water!
