Pray that Gary will have success staying off cigarettes.He is wearing a transdermal nicotine patch to take the edge off.
Today is day three without smoking.
he is having trouble keeping anything down
including his new medication.
I am glad he is home, now he needs to get better.
and I am going back to work...

Great!! I am happy he is home, thank you Lord. I know that it is a tough habit to kick - been there and burned the t-shirt. I will keep praying for him, with Christ ALL things are possible!

This will be a tough one, for the first week especially, patch or not- Re-learning the "when you used to reach for one" moment is trying.
When I quit, I quit coffee first because that was tougher! (making Butts not as hard to do)...
If he can believe he doesn't want to be controlled by the drug's craving effects anymore, that's most of the battle.
It's great to be free from that constant nagging-
