Scatter shot

I am but one
one man, not an army
one soul reaching for eternal significance
I think, therefore I misunderstand
I go out each day, therefore I step on toes
I love, so sometimes I get hurt, bad.

What I wish for does not add up to much
The things I have collected in my garage are mostly junk.

The only real treasure I have managed in this life to amass
are two boys and a girl, three arrows in my quiver.
They are so much more than I ever hoped for,
yet all I ever wanted from being a father.

I have a mission, its not secret
and each day I need to look to see if I am moving
toward or away from my goal.
I only get one chance to fulfill the
purpose for this day in my life.
to enjoy is good
to know God is better
the joy of knowing God is best.

Pray for me please
I forsee a lot of challenges
this coming month, to test if I am man, or mouse.
(I don't want to end up in a trap, do I?)

Your post was nicely written. I'll certainly lift you up in prayer.

They say when it's hard to pray is when you should be prayer harder! :)

Prayers you avoid the trap. With God by your side I know you will.

Michele sent me today. Glad she did.

The first time I read this I thought you kept your children in the garage. I had to go back and reread for context.

Hope the upcoming days are joyous.

Michele sent me, David.

That's one very evocative post, David. A very good one for Father's Day also. I hope your upcoming challenges help make you stronger--and that if love is a challenge, you don't get hurt bad. That sucks when it happens.

The picture below of the house in the snow is so beautiful!

Hey David - I hope those challenges are molehills instead of mountains. Very poetic.

It was a man who wrote this. If you touch that same spot I'm certain you're direction will be an open door, not a trap. Sending you blessings and thanks for stopping by not once but twice on Saturday. :o)
