A thought provoking and soul tearing book on the crimes of the holocaust. This is what is found in Shawn Hoffman's new book, "Samson, a savior will rise" I always am drawn to stories based on true events, as is the story of this American Jewish man caught in the camps of the Nazi death machine. The sickness of the medical experiments and psychological torture is counterpointed with the officers insisting on "entertainment' to relieve some of the boredom of the work of exterminating people all day long. I loved it despite the horrors within, and read it in just a few sittings ( it is winter).
